Due to the fragile nature of buttercream, it is recommended that you store cakes in the refrigerator until about a hour before you are ready to serve, then serve the cake at room temperature. It will be fine if kept out at your event for a couple of hours if the event is being hosted indoors and the temperature is no higher than 75° F. If you are traveling with your cake, be sure to keep the A/C running on high at all times in the vehicle. It is highly recommended that you follow these instructions, as once the cake leaves the possession of Courtney Bakes Cake, any damage caused by human error or high temperatures are the responsibility of the customer.
While I can bake with allergen-friendly ingredients and omit certain allergens from a recipe, I cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contamination within the baking environment, as the same tools may be utilized for recipes that include those allergens. If you have a specific concern, please contact me to discuss before placing your order. Courtney Bakes Cake is not liable for any allergic reactions due to guests consuming or coming into contact with the products provided.
Pricing will vary based on the complexity of your design and flavor. Things that can increase the price of an order are custom cake toppers, edible gold or silver elements, specialty ingredients, fresh flowers, etc.
Cake cutting guides that show you how to properly slice the cake in order to maximize servings are available upon request. When we are discussing your order, I will be sure to let you know what size cake will be able to feed the amount of guests you plan to have at your event. If you are concerned with having enough servings, you can always order cupcakes, cake parfaits, cakesicles or other supplemental desserts alongside your cake order.
