Terms and Conditions

All orders are subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

This Order is entered into by Courtney Bakes Cake (“CBC”) and the Customer indicated on the invoice. CBC agrees to deliver the Order as agreed upon and on time. Customer agrees to pay for the production and delivery of the Order. The following terms and conditions apply:

1. The Order is not confirmed until CBC receives the Deposit indicated on the invoice. This Deposit reserves the event date and is non-refundable. Orders placed within 1 week of the event or orders totaling $50 or less must be paid in full at time of booking. If the final payment is not received by the due date indicated, the Order will be canceled.

2. Customer is responsible for the condition of the Order once it leaves the possession of CBC, including providing an appropriate environment (75°F or below, out of direct sunlight).

3. Orders are made in a kitchen that utilizes milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. Customer should notify their guests of this risk. CBC is not liable for reactions to these allergens due to contact or ingestion.

4. If Customer provides an inspiration picture for the Order, it is understood that CBC will take this as inspiration for the final design, but no guarantees are made to exactly replicate another baker’s work. Customer is agreeing to CBC taking creative liberty in the final product.

5. REFUND POLICY: If Customer cancels the Order after paying the initial Deposit, no refunds will be provided as this fee secures the date and may cause other customers to be denied the chance to order. In the unlikely event that upon collection there is a detrimental issue with the Order that makes it unusable for the event as agreed by both parties, CBC will make all reasonable efforts to correct the issue. If Customer chooses to keep the Order in its current state, Customer will not be entitled to a refund and their final payment will be due. In these cases, Customer may receive a credit toward a future purchase as determined by CBC. If Customer refuses the Order, their final payment will not be due, however the Deposit remains non-refundable. It is emphasized that these situations are unlikely and CBC makes every effort to ensure customers are overjoyed with their orders.

6. NO SHOWS: Customer must pick up the Order at the agreed upon time. If Customer is 15 or more minutes late, CBC may reach out to arrange an alternate pick up time. Due to other scheduled pick ups and deliveries, there is no guarantee that CBC will have availability to reschedule on the same day. If Customer is unresponsive 1 hour after their scheduled pick up time, they will be considered a No Show. In an effort to avoid spoilage and waste, orders that are in a No Show status may be donated or resold and no refund of payments made will be due to Customer. Customers who have been a No Show in the past may be allowed to place a new order at CBC’s discretion, but will be required to pay their full balance upfront in order to place any future orders.
